Some of the Khulis I keep.
Giant Khuli -- Acantophthalmus myersi
Khuli -- Acanthophthalmus kuhli
Black Khuli -- Pangio javanicus
I have around 25 or so Khulis in my 42x18x15. I have also got a new 24x15x12, which is to be set up as a South East Asia stream to replicate the stream form which Khuli loaches spend much of their time in the natrual habitat.Just been out to get some sand and mopani wood for the tank( i know its not asian wood) lol
Also been given some new infomation on breeding Khulis, seem it is being doen more often than the reports on websites know about. when i get the tank set up i will post pics and reasons for the setup!
Also heard that in asia adn some other far east places they are breeding some of the rarer/hard to find khulis, such as Albino.
Black Khulis are bought in for the out of season half banded khuli, which was a sentence i have not heard heard before. Little titbits of information sneaking out from well informed people int he trade. What other jems can i dig up, will let you know!!

Other species of khuli i have yet to find in LFS.
Albino Khuli -- Pangio Myersi (Albino) indian thorneyes-- Acanthophthalmus cuneovirgatus (imposter)
dwarf khuli --Acanthophthalmus robiginosus half banded --Acanthophthalmus semicinctus
Shelford's thorneye--Acanthophthalmus shelfordii
Pangio Myersi. Albino Khuli great pics on http://www.loaches.com/pangio_myersi_albino.shtml
Tank setups for Khuli loaches, a set up which is consistent with the southeast Asia River look would make a great tank setup, for the species of Khuli and other fish that occur in the habit(Bumbleebee Goby etc) .Plants like onion plant, hairgrass,Crypt's,japanese cress, water sprite, water lettuce, vallis.
Fish to include with Khuli's would be Bala Shark, Rosy Barb's, Striped Barb, Spanner Barb,5 banded Barb, Siamese Fighting Fish, Clown loach,Bumblebee Goby,Giant Danio,Sucking Loach,Goby,Asian Shark Catfish or Scissortail's.
The real kuhli loach, Acanthophthalmus kuhlii , is about 3.5 inch, from Indonesia, Sumatra, Java, Malaya.
